At the July 20, 2010 council meeting, Petersburg City Council presented Wal-Mart Corporation and the Associates of the Wal-Mart Distribution Center a Resolution of thanks for their generous contributions of both time and money to the City. On May 3rd & 4th of this year, 100 Wal-Mart Distribution Center employees spent more than 500 man hours working at the Appomattox River Park. Renovations included: cleaning and replacing roofing shingles, erecting fences, painting, and mulching planting beds. The project was also supported by the Friends of the Lower Appomattox River (FOLAR). ~ RESOLUTION »

The City of Petersburg City Code is available online. You can search the code with a variety of methods including a standard and advanced search, as well as selecting from the Table of Contents.
Real Estate information can be viewed and searched online. The system allows for searching by Street Name, Parcel Number, House Number and a Two Yr. Sales Search by Usecode. The data is updated monthly.
Pay Fines Online, through the Supreme Court’s Case Management System. Certain “pre-payable” offenses and violations issued by the City of Petersburg can now be paid online through the Supreme Court.
With Online Payments you can pay your Parking Tickets - Personal Property Taxes > and> Water Bills online through the " Official Payments " system.
