Petersburg Native Buys Out 

Theater for Local Youth

Petersburg, Virginia: Hot off the heels of two record breaking weekends, Petersburg youth were offered the chance to partake in the mystical magic that is Black Panther.

Angels with Heart Foundation purchased tickets and snacks for 100 Petersburg Kids and teens to view the film.

Angels with Heart was founded in 2010 by Grammy nominated R&B singer and Petersburg native, Trey Songz. 

The attendees are participants of Petersburg Parks and Leisure Services - Let's Move After School Program, Petersburg High School Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Girls Softball and the Petersburg Boys and Girls Club.

Angels with Heart continues to be a positive contribution to the Petersburg Community, especially through youth empowerment programs.

Marvel’s Black Panther shattered records during its opening weekend. The film is expected to pass $1 billion at the global box office.  

“We are forever appreciative of Angels with Heart for their ongoing support of our young population here in Petersburg,” said Tami Yerby, Director of Parks & Recreation and Volunteerism Coordinator.
