City of Petersburg Hires Public Affairs Coordinator
Petersburg, VA: Folakemi “Kemi” Osoba has been named Public Affairs Coordinator according to Petersburg City Manager’s Office.
Ms. Osoba has just completed her first week with the City of Petersburg. Her responsibilities will include community relations, maintaining Petersburg’s social media presence and coordinating marketing and public relations efforts on behalf of the city.
“Kemi is an ideal choice for this position because she holds a diverse background in public relations, communications and customer service,” said City Manager Ferrell-Benavides.
Ms. Osoba most recently served as the Community Engagement Administrator in Glenn Heights, Texas. During her time with Glenn Heights she served as the City’s PIO and coordinated parks programming and maintenance, and developed external communications and marketing materials for the city. Prior to her position with the City of Glenn Heights, she was served as a Fellow for FleishmanHillard Communications, an international communication firm. Ms. Osoba holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Florida A&M University.
