Water Main Repair and Boil Water Notice
Please be advised that the water service at 2100 Van Dorn Street, affecting 15 customers, was disrupted for about two hours from 9:00 am to 11:00 am today May 10, 2017 to repair a water main. Water pressure that drops below 20 PSI requires a boil water notice be sent to the affected customers per the American Water
Works Association (AWWA). AWWA recommends and the Virginia Department of Health requires a boil water notice to be sent and bacteriological testing to be conducted. Results will be available within 24 hours. Customers living within the disrupted area were notified by hand delivery today between noon and 1 pm.
