[ARCHIVED] Petersburg Launches I AM PETERSBURG® Website

The City of Petersburg announced today the unveiling of the I AM PETERSBURG® website where users can generate their own I AM PETERSBURG® logo. The City launched the I AM PETERSBURG® brand in December 2014 to generate a sense of excitement and pride among residents and key stakeholders, drive tourism and bolster economic development. I AM PETERSBURG® is a city-wide platform created with the intent to highlight the rich history, legacy and the overall Petersburg experience.

I AM PETERSBURG is open source, meaning users are invited to customize the color, size, placement and design of the logo. The website also allows users to upload a background photo for the logo, as well as add a word or phrase underneath the logo. Residents, business owners, civic leaders, visitors and surrounding communities are invited to be a part of the I AM PETERSBURG® experience!

Starting November 2, 2015, the entire City is invited to participate in the I AM PETERSBURG® logo contest. Through December 1, 2015, users can go to the I AM PETERSBURG® website and create a logo. The top 5 logos will be posted and voted on December 3, 2015 – December 15, 2015. On December 16, 2015, the winner of the contest will be announced. Their logo will be posted on a designated billboard in the City. Everyone is encouraged to go to the website, create a logo and post on social media channels. Be sure to use #iampetersburg when posting an I AM PETERSBURG® logo on social media.
