Members of the House Education Committee will visit Peabody Middle School and A.P. Hill Elementary School in the City of Petersburg on August 27, 2015 to give members a unique chance to learn more about these schools as well as the overall education landscape in Petersburg.
Legislators will observe classrooms in both Peabody and A.P. Hill, and will then attend a roundtable discussion in A.P. Hill’s gymnasium with teachers from both schools, each school’s principal, the Superintendent and the School Board Chair. This open dialogue will give the legislators an opportunity to receive valuable feedback from Petersburg’s educators.
There will be seating provided for members of the public to observe the roundtable discussion.
WHEN: August 27, 2015. The class observations will take place at Peabody between 1:45 and
2:05 P.M., and at A.P. Hill between 2:30 and 2:50 P.M. The roundtable discussion will be held in the A.P. Hill Gymnasium from 2:55 to 4:00 P.M.
