Petersburg Community Fatherhood Initiative (PCFI) is proud to announce that they are currently recruiting for their next Fatherhood Support Group. The six group sessions will begin Thursday, August 6 and are held once a week on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Petersburg’s Department of Social Services (400 Farmer Street).
“The Petersburg Community Fatherhood Initiative is the first group of its kind for this city,” comments Mrs. Donna Rohde (Family Services Manager). “This support group is dedicated to changing lives, families and communities through the investment in our fathers and men in the Petersburg community”.
Since the inception of PCFI in 2014, the group has better prepared fathers for the role they play in the lives of our children and community. The first class of five males graduated in June 2015.
Fathers interested in joining the second class beginning in August are encouraged to register. It is open to males ages 18 and older. To register, please contact Sean Brown at (804) 861-4720 or sean.brown@dss.virginia.gov. Registration ends August 6, 2015.
