Petersburg Government Offices Closed for New Year Holiday
Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in observance of the New Year holiday. Offices will reopen during regular business hours on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will be open on Wednesday, January 1. For available tee times, visit www.dogwoodtracegolf.com.
Petersburg Area Transit bus services will not operate on Wednesday, January 1.
There will be no CVWMA recycling or Meridian Waste trash collection on Wednesday, January 1. All Wednesday – Friday collections will slide to the following day, with Friday collections moving to Saturday. Live, undecorated Christmas trees can be disposed of by setting them on the curb next to your trash cart, either bagged or secured with twine. They will be picked up on your regular trash collection day. Trees will not be recycled.
