City of Petersburg Government Offices Closed for Independence Day
Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. All City offices will reopen on Monday, July 8, at normal hours of operation.
Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Transit will reopen on Friday, July 5, for bus operations.
The City swimming pool on Farmer Street will remain open on July 4 & 5.
Petersburg Circuit Court and the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. The Courts and Clerk’s Office will reopen on Monday, July 8, at normal hours.
Dogwood Trace Golf Course will be open on July 4 & 5. Visit www.dogwoodtracegolf.com to book a tee time.
Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) residential recycling will be delayed by one day during the week of July 4. For more information, go to www.cvwma.com.

Plan to enjoy the Fireworks at Petersburg Harbor in Old Towne on Wednesday, July 3. Festivities, including music and food trucks, begin at 5:00 p.m., and the fireworks are scheduled for 9:00 p.m.
