[ARCHIVED] City of Petersburg Area Transit to Offer Holiday Express Route

Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) will be offering express runs to the Wal-Mart South Crater Rd. for this year’s holiday season. PAT Wal-Mart Express schedule is the following:

Wednesday, November 26 – Friday, November 28: 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Monday, December 22 – Saturday, December 27: 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

The express route will leave Petersburg Station (100 W. Washington St.) and travel Southbound on Sycamore Street to the Wal-Mart located on South Crater Rd. Upon return, the express route travel northbound Crater Road to northbound Sycamore Street, back to PAT. The bus will stop at PAT bus stops along the route. The fare will be $1.75 transfer and half fare for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

“PAT is excited to offer this express service during the holidays for the city residents,” comments Dironna Belton, PAT General Manager. “Accessibility to the business corridor for shopping and access to transportation is important and will help our residents to have a more enjoyable holiday season.”
