[ARCHIVED] City of Petersburg Veteran’s Day Closings

In observance of Veteran’s Day, City government offices, including City Hall and the City Hall Annex building, will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

Tuesday’s Veteran’s Day closings also include the Petersburg Public Library and all Department of Parks and Leisure Service community centers and any activities. Regular hours will resume on Wednesday.

Dogwood Trace Golf Course will be open normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Petersburg Area Transit will open on a regular operating schedule, 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Administrative offices and customer services are closed.

Central Virginia Waste Management Authority curbside recycling and trash collections will continue as regularly scheduled for the Veteran’s Day holiday. Trash customers in the City of Petersburg should place their trash carts out on their regularly scheduled collection day.

The City of Petersburg Museums and Visitor Center will be open the regular fall/winter hours. For specific time information, please visit the Cultural Affairs, Arts and Tourism site on the City’s main webpage. The museums are free to City residents.
