Petersburg Government Offices Reopening to the Public
City of Petersburg government offices and facilities will reopen to the public on Monday, March 14. Visitors and city employees will be asked to wear masks and social distance in spaces that may become crowded and at all public meetings.
City offices are open from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Petersburg Public Library hours of operation are 10:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Thursday, and 10:00am to 5:30pm, Friday and Saturday. The library is closed on Sundays.
The Petersburg Area Transit Station will be open from 5:15am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday and from 7:15am to 6:15pm on Saturdays. All buses will operate on the regular schedule. Passengers will be required to wear masks and social distance. Petersburg Area Transit will continue to provide fare free service until further notice. This includes all fixed route and para-transit services.
Petersburg City Council meetings will be held at the Petersburg Public Library and open to the public. All Council meetings will continue to be streamed live at: www.petersburgva.gov/1177/Live-Meetings.
City officials encourage all who have not been vaccinated or need booster shots to consider scheduling an appointment with the Crater Health District.
