Water Line Repair
City of Petersburg utility crews are working to repair a water line break in the 100 block of Mecklenburg Street, off East Washington Street (Route 36). Residents in that area may experience a reduction in pressure, but the water is safe to drink. During today's repair work, water in that area may have to be temporarily shut off. The line repairs are expected to be completed today.
The City asks motorists to stay off Mecklenburg Street during the repairs if possible.
